As the sun rises on a new week, we find ourselves reflecting on the strides we've made in our journey towards revolutionizing health procurement in Nigeria. It's a journey marked not just by our aspirations but by the partnerships and collaborations that make these dreams a tangible reality.
Our recent visit to the USAID Global Health Supply Chain Program-Procurement and Supply Management GHSC-PSM offices stands as a testament to the power of collaboration. We were not just welcomed with open arms but with open minds, eager to explore the vast potential of our combined efforts. This visit was more than a mere meeting; it was the starting point of a partnership that promises to bring transformative change to Nasarawa, Bauchi, and Sokoto States.
The core of our discussion with GHSC-PSM centered around leveraging each other's strengths. Our joint initiative aims to empower the local health procurement systems by combining our innovative qualification programme with GHSC-PSM's extensive experience and resources. This collaboration is envisioned to bring about a catalytic impact on the health systems of the project States.
A Closer Look at Our Initiatives
-
The Qualification Programme: We're proud to announce the early commencement of our CIPS qualification programme. This proactive approach is designed to enhance the quality and relevance of the health procurement systems in the project States, ensuring a lasting positive impact.
-
Diagnostic Exercise in Nasarawa State: Our teams have completed a comprehensive diagnostic exercise in Nasarawa State, identifying key areas for improvement. This exercise paves the way for a targeted approach to strengthen the health procurement system.
-
Building Capacities: Workshops and Trainings: A significant highlight is the upcoming gap and improvement workshop in Lafia, which will see key stakeholders coming together to forge a path forward. Additionally, the GHSC-PSM’s ongoing support, including training for guidelines and procedures, is set to roll out to 450 facilities in Nasarawa State.
What truly sets these initiatives apart is the spirit of collaboration. From sharing resources and insights to jointly tackling challenges, our partnership with GHSC-PSM is a vivid reminder that when we join forces, the impact can be monumental.
As we look to the future, we are filled with hope and determination. The journey ahead is long, and the challenges are many, but with our combined efforts, we are more equipped than ever to bring about lasting change in the health procurement landscape of Nigeria.
